Avoid strenuous activity for 24-48 hours. This includes running, jumping, and lifting heavy objects.
Elevate your legs when you can. This will help to reduce swelling.
Apply ice to the treated areas for 20 minutes at a time, several times a day. This will help to reduce swelling and pain.
Use a moisturizer on the treated areas to help prevent dryness and itching.
Avoid direct sunlight for 1-2 weeks. If you must be in the sun, wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
